Boeing Vision Benefits
Boeing employees’ vision benefits are changing from VSP to Davis Vision starting January 2016.
Using your out-of-network benefits
Starting January 1, 2016 Boeing insurance for routine vision will be administrated through the discount plan Davis Vision. Village Eye Care will be an out-of-network provider for Davis Vision.
For our Boeing families that prefer not to have their vision exams at Costco, Walmart or Fred Meyer, we’ve worked hard to put together some amazing discounts and packages to bring you a great value and help stretch your out-of-network benefits.
We are still preferred providers for Boeing Medical through BCBS of Illinois.
Patients that have a medical reason to have their eyes examined can see us and we can bill the medical portion of your insurance as an in-network preferred provider.

Special Boeing packages available only at Village Eye Care
- Special discount on routine eye exams that brings your cost down to a $25 copay (versus $15 at a Davis office).
- We can fill out and submit the necessary claim form for you.
- We are offering special packages on eyewear for our current Boeing patients.

Medical Eye Exams & Office Visits
Medical eye care is still billed through Blue Cross/Blue Shield. There is no change to this coverage. Regular copay and deductibles may apply.

- We recommend checking with Davis Vision to verify your eligibility for benefits. Please call 1-844-770-1500 for automated help 24/7. Live help is available M-F 8 am – 11 pm, Saturday 9 am – 4 pm and Sunday 12 pm – 4 pm (Eastern time).
- Pay the discounted price for your exam and/or hardware
- We will fill out and submit the Davis Vision claim form for you.
- Davis Vision will reimburse you directly for your eligible benefit.

Out-of-Network Reimbursement
All Boeing families have an out-of-network vision benefit through Davis Vision. While not the same as using your benefits in-network, you have the choice of seeing the doctor you want and getting the quality eyewear you’ve come to expect.
